Govt. of India has introduced MEIS & SEIS Schemes through the foreign trade policy (FTP)2015-20 w.e.f. April 1, 2015. MEIS & SEIS Schemes are major export incentive schemes of GOI implemented by the ministry of commerce and industry.
Rewards under MEIS (Merchandise Exports from India) scheme are payable as a percentage (2,3,4,5,7 & 10%) of realized INR FOB value of Exports, by way of the MEIS duty credit script/ license.
Rewards under SEIS (Service Exports from India Scheme) scheme are payable as a percentage (3, 5 & 7%) of realized INR FOB value of Service Exports, by way of the SEIS duty credit script/ license.
These script/ license are freely transferrable, so we can sell it easily in the Market @average rate 95% to 99%.
